Figo: My top level career will end in ItalyPortuguese legend Luis Figo has again confirmed that he will leave Serie A giants Inter Milan at the end of the season.
Figo told AFP: "My top level career will end in Italy,"
"That was my intention when I arrived in Italy two years ago. It's my decision," added Figo, who also said he would not head back to his native Portugal to see out his career.
"I decided a long time ago not to come back to play in Portugal. I stayed in Italy until the end of the season to win the championship and quit top level football at the level I decided.
"That's why I didn't leave in January."
As for his future with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, Figo added: "I'm waiting to see if I go or not,"
"Any decision has to be taken carefully and thoughtfully."
Inter president Massimo Moratti recently urged Figo to stay on at the club saying: "Although he has already signed a contract with the Arabs, I still hope that Figo changes his mind and stays with us also for next season."
