Ferguson: Rio is crucialManchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is still hoping to have star defender Rio Ferdinand available to take on AC Milan this week.
“We have a few days to get Rio fit and that will be crucial,” said Ferguson.
“I do have options because I could play John O’Shea in central defence and Gabriel Heinze at left-back. But that would mean using Darren Fletcher at right-back and, given his performance in midfield, I would prefer not to do that.”
