Fergie to be offered a new dealDuncan Ferguson is expected to be offered a new contract by Everton very soon.
The news comes as something of a surprise as the 33-year-old Scot looked likely to be heading out of Goodison Park when his contract expires in the summer.
However, with a number of players out of contract in the summer, Toffees boss David Moyes is keen to keep his UEFA Champions League-chasing squad together, and Ferguson could now be retained.
Moyes said: "We're speaking to a lot of players and I want to retain the nucleus of the squad.”
