Everton star out for the seasonEverton defender Allessandro Pistone has had surgery on the knee injury that has wrecked his season.
Pistone suffered ligament damage in only the second Premiership game of the campaign at Bolton and had an op in America.
Everton physio Mick Rathbone said: "There had been fears the cartilage may need to be removed so repairing it is good news for the long term.
"But he will almost certainly miss the whole of this season."
