Everton prankster ready to shineEverton's high profile summer signing Andy Van Der Meyde will finally gets his chance to fill Thomas Gravesen's boots tonight after doing a laugh-a-minute job off it.
Before he left for Real Madrid in January, Gravesen was the joker in the Everton pack with a reputation as the club's biggest prankster.
Dutchman Van der Meyde has been quick to take over that role, even though a groin problem has kept him sidelined.
Boss David Moyes already feels the Dutch star is paying his way just by keeping the Toffees spirits up during their dodgy start.
He said: "He's a good character to have about and has made us laugh.
"There are a lot of similarities with Tommy. There's definitely a mad streak in there.
"He is keen to prove he is not merely a training-ground entertainer though."
