Everton line up United starAmerican stopper Tim Howard is on his way to Everton on a season-long loan.
The Manchester United star signed from New York Metro Stars for £2.3million in July 2003 and at one stage looked like being the new Peter Schmeichel
However, this season he has made just five cup appearances and did not feature at all in the Premiership.
It is understood Howard asked for the move to revive his career, and he is now expected to leapfrog Nigel Martyn and Richard Wright into Everton’s first team.
