Dutch star sparks transfer scrambleRafael van der Vaart has admitted he he is likely to leave Ajax this summer sparking a mass transfer scramble.
The 22-year-old is in his sixth season in the first team at The Amsterdam Arena and he has been linked with some of Europe's elite clubs since he was a teenager.
With just a year left on his current deal, and with little chance of a new contract being signed, Ajax look likely to sell him at the end of the season.
Van der Vaart told Het Parool: "My contract is running for another season, but I need a new challenge,
"For the club, it's better I leave next summer, as they can earn a transfer fee for me then."
