Dunne misses Uefa pushManchester City defender Richard Dunne has undergone ankle surgery and will miss the clubs late push for a Uefa Cup place.
The Republic of Ireland international has had a problem with both ankles and City boss Stuart Pearce wanted it solved as soon as possible.
Dunne underwent the first operation on Wednesday, and will miss his side's final two games of the season against Aston Villa and Middlesbrough.
He also misses the World Cup qualifiers against Israel and Faroe Islands.
Dunne will have more surgery next week, and then six weeks' rehabilitation.
