Duff, Italy – latestTottenham Hotspur manager Martin Jol will wait for the outcome of talks between Damien Duff and his club Chelsea before deciding wether to up his initial £6.9million bid for the talented wide man.
With the arrival Ballack, the Blues now have eight world class midfielders including Lampard, Essien, Makelele, Cole, Wright-Phillips, Robben and Duff vying for the four midfield positions at the Bridge.
Duff, 27, knows he will be up against it to get some regular game time and is rumoured to be quite interested in moving to London rivals Spurs.
In other news, Parma rock Daniele Bonera is being linked with a move to London. Both Arsenal and now Tottenham have been linked and a move could be on the cards for the defender that has been heralded as the next Azzuri star.
