Drogba gets award

Didier Drogba has today been named the African Footballer of the Year by the Confederation of African Football.

The Chelsea striker has been in stellar form this season and was the stand out for the Ivory Coast in the World Cup.

Drogba got the award ahead of Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o his Chelsea team-mate, Michael Essien who tallied the third most votes.
