Doriva covets Boro stay

Middlesbrough’s Brazilian midfielder Doriva wants a new contract at the Riverside.

The tough-tackling South American has started 25 games this season and is now hoping to prolong his two-year stay on Teesside.

Last season he was voted Player of the Year by his fellow pros and the former Porto and Celta Vigo star has again impressed.

The Samba star said: "I really love it here. My family are very settled here, my children speak English very well and we've adapted to the way of life.”
