Di Canio excited with new roleFormer West Ham and Lazio star Paolo Di Canio has expressed his enthusiasm at starting his player/manger role in Serie C2 with Cisco Roma.
Di Canio said: "I was impressed by the approach and the sincerity of Tulli, the plan and the possibility to remain in Rome and to do something positive in order to help many boys of my city.
"I was in Coverciano studying for my coaching badges and my agent, Moreno Roggi, telephoned me. Its was an idea, there had not been contact. Then we spoke with Leonardi and I was enthusiastic.
"This is a true family that has all the values which I look for in a club. I do not have fear of Serie C2."
