Cruyff backs SaviolaBarcelona legend Johan Cruyff has backed the selection of Javier Saviola after the injury to star Samuel Eto'o but criticised the performances of numerous players in the talented squad.
He said: "Javier has to play now. If the team is complete, he can't play. But things have changed now. The replacement is there and he will have to show his qualities. This is good for both parties,"
Cruyff added: "I can't believe my eyes this season. On Barcelona's squad, some players will have to show themselves more. If Andres Iniesta doesn't play more than last season and the team is not making progress, this means that some players are not performing well enough.
"This can have several reasons. Maybe they're not in good shape of they think they can avoid to take it easy. In the end it really doesn't matter."
