Crespo: We have a very strong teamInter Milan new-boy Hernan Crespo has praised the strength of the club while also warning them of any complacency during the upcoming campaign.
He said: “We are pleased with our victory over Roma (In the Super Cup), but we know that the next season will be very difficult for us, we can’t count our chickens before they’re hatched,”
“Roma is a very strong side, as they proved on Saturday with their impressive performance, but we mustn’t forget there are other good teams too,”
Inter manager Roberto Mancini said: “We have a very strong team and we are somehow forced to win, but when you play fair you never know what can happen on the pitch, the result can never be predicted,”
“We deserved to win on Saturday. Despite the first 35 minutes, that I wish we could just erase, the team’s reaction was very positive.”
On the signing of Crespo Mancini added: “Crespo is a great forward, capable of scoring anytime. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is very young and I am sure he can do well, although sometimes he makes me mad – but it was the same for me when I was his age.
