Coleman keen to tie up defenderFulham manager Chris Coleman has expressed his desire to open contract negotiations with right-back Moritz Volz in order to tie the German to the club beyond this season.
He said: "I'd love Moritz to sign a new contract and we'll go back to the negotiating table with him.
"He's a young player we desperately want to hold onto. But it's got to be fair to both sides.
"He's been terrific. Liam Rosenior has been playing at right-back so Volzy has sometimes been in the reserves.
"Occasionally I've asked him not to play because of injury but he's wanted to. He's been doing extra training."
He said: "I'd love Moritz to sign a new contract and we'll go back to the negotiating table with him.
