Coleman: He was right to snub NewcastleIn snubbing Newcastle over the summer, Fulham boss Chris Coleman says his captain Luis Boa Morte made the right choice.
Speaking after Saturday's 1-1 draw, Coleman remarked: "There was a lot of speculation, and of course Luis had his head turned. But we've held on to him and he has signed a contract which keeps him at the club until 2010.
"As long as I'm here he's going to be captain. He's one of our best players and our most consistent performer."
He added: "I thought we were the better team on Saturday. We came here last year and won 4-1, and didn't deserve it. They hammered us last year.
"We can't compete with Newcastle United in the transfer market as a club, but we can compete with them on the pitch."
