City star aims for new dealJust nine months after almost quitting Eastlands, Man City defender Ben Thatcher is now keen to earn a new contract.
Personal problems prompted 29-year-old Thatcher to agree to join Fulham, only for the move to fall through at the last minute.
Thatcher told City's official magazine: "I had no problems on the pitch, but had three break-ins at home.
"I have another two-and-a-half years left on my contract and my main aim now is to win another one."
He said: "At the time it was a battle I couldn't win because I needed to be with my family who were living down south.
"It was fortunate the Fulham move broke down because moving from City would have been a terrible thing for me.
"People at the club, the staff and the fans could not have been nicer to us.
"My family is back up here now and the kids are in school so it's all in the past."
