Celtic turn down World Cup winner

Scottish newspaper, The Daily Record says that Celtic have turned down the chance to sign off contract Marseille goalkeeper Fabien Barthez.
 
The Frenchman is reported to have been offered to Hoops boss Gordon Strachan as he is set to leave Marseille this summer.

However, the former Manchester United star could not tempt the Celtic manager who is desperate to buy Antti Niemi from Southampton.
