Carsley blow for EvertonEverton has announced on its website that midfielder Lee Carsley will be ruled out for another six weeks after undergoing knee surgery.
The 31-year-old has not played since suffering ligament damage at the end of last season, and his absence is a further blow for Everton who is bottom of the table after winning only one of its first seven games.
Carsley was a key member of the midfield unit which helped Everton finish fourth in the Premier League last season.
