Cantona backs Keane for Old Trafford postManchester United legend Eric Cantona has backed former Red Devil skipper Roy Keane to take over from Alex Ferguson as manager of the club.
"It's important it is somebody who knows how the club works, and works maybe with Ferguson for a long time," said Cantona.
"He will need to be very strong mentally, and have a strong personality, and I think Roy Keane is one of them."
On when he thought Sir Alex would step down from his post, he added: "He's a great man in the tacticians of football.
"Football, I think, keeps himself young. He needs football to stay young and football needs him."
