Bruce on Heskey futureDespite the striker's poor form in front of goal, Birmingham boss Steve Bruce insists Emile Heskey remains a vital part of his plans.
Bruce said: "Goal-scoring has always been one Achilles heel, but he has played a huge part since he has been here and you won't get any complaints from me,
"We all know the territory, and you have to expect players to get stick. But Emile is a very good striker, and he was our player of the year last season.
"We still expect him to get up to 15 goals a season, and I remain convinced he will do that. He probably needed a tap-in from two yards, and fortunately for us he managed that at Millwall."
