Bruce: Only if things are rightBirmingham City manager Steve Bruce says he won’t release star midfielder David Dunn back to Blackburn on the cheap.
Dunn, who had the world at his feet as a youngster at Blackburn, has struggled with serious injuries since he arrived at Birmingham.
Bruce said: "It has been deeply upsetting what has happened to David Dunn - both for him and us,"
"Now I have to consider - do we allow him to make a fresh start and do we cut our losses.
"But I am not going to be hijacked, mollycoddled or hoodwinked into anything that is just going to suit David Dunn.
"Myself and the club have stood by him over the years. We have given him time and energy to get over his injuries and he is still our player.
"I will look at the situation in January, but only if things are right. My job is to look after the club and the team.
"The transfer window is nearly open, but we are not just going to give David Dunn away. We will see what develops."
