Brazil World Cup legend to retireFormer World and European Footballer of the Year Rivaldo has announced that he will retire at the end of the coming season.
Rivaldo, 34, who is currently contracted to Olympiakos in Greece, said: "I have already made up my mind. This is going to be my last season as a footballer. I want to finish my career with Olympiakos' shirt,"
"I want to do something great next season and then I will go to Brazil to get some rest, but I assure everyone that this doesn't mean that I am not going to try my best in my last season as a footballer of Olympiakos.
"I want to achieve something more with Olympiakos and I hope that the other players and I can make it. This is how I want to leave Olympiakos and the football fields."
