Boro striker happy to fightMiddlesbrough striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says he is happy to fight for his place at The Riverside.
The Dutch striker is out of contract at the end of the season but is determined to win a new deal at the club.
The striker said: "If I can come to an agreement with Boro I will sign tomorrow.
"But for now I am just focused on playing and doing well. As long as I am doing that I know the club will offer something.
"I haven't thought too much about my future and I just want to play football as much as possible.
"It is important to enjoy myself on the pitch and hopefully Middlesbrough will tell me what they want very soon.
"If that does not happen I'm sure there will be other clubs knocking at my door, so I'll just take it from there."
Hasselbaink added: "I have not had much consistency this season because of two or three injuries but I want to get back to scoring goals and playing well.
"I want to play as much as possible and obviously I want to be one of the main strikers.
"It's up to me and when I get my chance I have to take it."
