Boro star eager for turnMiddlesbrough captain George Boateng is happy with his performances this season despite reports suggesting he is not at the top of his game.
He said: "Put it this way, if you make a mistake where your team loses it hurts even more.
"I am happy it does not happen to me too often, but it hurt after Saturday definitely, because I set myself very high standards every game.
"But if you look at my season, besides Manchester City and Watford, I do not think I have had really bad games, so I cannot say it is not happening for me this season.
"That is rubbish. It is mentally weak to think that and my game speaks for itself.
"Even though we lost at Reading, I thought I played really well and at Arsenal before I got sent off, I did well.
"So I do not have to keep going out and proving that I am not having a bad season, not at all.
"It is just as a team now we are finding it hard to win."
