Boro star commitsMiddlesbrough star George Boateng says he is happy to stay at the club despite rumours linking him with a move away this summer.
Boateng, 31, told the official Boro website: "I am happy here. I appreciate what the club has done for me,"
"Whether my name has been mentioned to other clubs, I am very loyal. Unless I am told different, I will be here as long as my contract is running."
He added: "I met Birmingham manager Steve Bruce two seasons ago on holiday. We had a little chat - not about football.
"He is a nice man and I have to respect his view, but once more, I am happy here."
