Boro: We see Jason a midfielderNew Middlesbrough signing Jason Euell could be deployed as a central midfielder rather than his usual position in attack as a striker.
Boro assistant Malcolm Crosby said: "We see Jason as one of three midfield men, playing off a striker," he said.
"We are certainly looking at him as a midfielder but the one thing we need is to get that extra body in the box when we push forward, and Jason has the ability to do that.
"He can score goals and that's one of the things we are looking for from him."
"He's a very fit boy, so there are no problems there. But I don't know whether 90 minutes is in him from the start. A half will be no problem," he added.
"The main thing is to give him what he needs and get him match fit as soon as possible."
