Blackburn star could leaveAustralian World Cup star Lucas Neill is weighing up his options but manager Mark Hughes is confident that he and compatriot Brett Emerton will sign new deals to stay at Ewood Park.
"We don't want to lose them, that's why the offers are on the table, but they're keeping their options open at the moment," said Hughes.
"They were both going to see what happened after the World Cup and take it from there.
"We understood that was going to be the situation but we're more than hopeful that they'll sign.
"I thought both Lucas and Brett had a good World Cup. Both will be better for the experience.
"It's an outstanding time to play football for your country and they will have learned from it as players and individuals and hopefully we'll reap the benefits when they come back.
"We've made good offers to both of them and we're very hopeful they'll accept.
"At the end of the day it's time that they look at their situation and see what's best for them at this point of their careers and I think that would be to stay at Blackburn Rovers and enjoy the success that we're having at the moment and expect to have in the future."
