Black Cats still huntingNew Sunderland boss Niall Quinn has confirmed that he has tabled several offers for top level players this summer but is still waiting to land a major signing for the club.
Quinn said: “I’ve put seven-figure bids in writing for five Premiership players. It’s not about a reluctance to spend money.”
Quinn has been linked with Tottenham players Andy Reid and Calum Davenport as well as striker Kevin Phillips from Aston Villa.
