Birmingham to sign midfielderBirmingham City have offered a new deal to skipper Damien Johnson.
Johnson, 28, said: “I have never had any desire to go anywhere else and am delighted to have been offered a new contract.”
He added: “I want to help Birmingham get back to where we belong — in the Premiership.
“I wouldn’t say we’ve cracked it just yet even though we are back on top of the Championship.
“But the balance of the team looks good, everyone knows their jobs and the spirit is excellent.”
