Berger threatens retirementCzech midfielder Patrik Berger has threatened to hang up his boots if he suffers any more long-term injuries.
The Villa star played just nine times this season after a free transfer from Portsmouth.
He said: “When you have injury problems like I have had this season, the hardest part is the mental side of it.
“When you see the fit lads going out to enjoy training, that’s the most difficult bit.
“I’ll be 33 this year and don’t really want to have another season like this.
“If I had to go through the same next year, I’d be thinking it was time to hang up my boots and go home and enjoy my life.”
