Berger: I’m happy at VillaCzech Republic international Patrik Berger is now happy at club Aston Villa after sorting out his differences with manager Martin O'Neill.
"I had a chat with the manager and we made peace between us and drew a line under things," said Berger.
"He told me if I deserved to play, then he would treat me the same as the other players at the club so it is like a new start for me.
"A couple of weeks ago, I wouldn't have even dreamed of playing again in front of a big crowd like this at Villa Park so it was very good and I am very happy I had a chance to play.
"It is good the manager doesn't hold grudges. Now we are moving forward and I was delighted to play a part in the Watford game. If I can help then that's why I am here.
"Last year I had a nightmare time with injuries and this pre-season started exactly the same so I didn't have chance to show I can still do the job even if I am getting older. Now I hope I can show what I can do."
