Bent impresses on Spurs debutNew Tottenham striker Darren Bent scored on his debut for the club during the pre-season 3-1 win over Stevenage.
Manager Martin Jol told the official Tottenham website: "We had a number of players not involved and had a lot of younger players in the squad who all got on, so that was positive for us,"
"We were able to play some younger players and show our fans the likes of Jamie O'Hara, Jacques Maghoma, Jake Livermore and Chris Riley.
"We started with an attacking formation and we could have scored a more in the first half. We went out with the same formation in the second half, we wanted to win the game and we played much better."
"Darren Bent also scored his first goal, we won the game and we came away with no injuries, so that was all positive for us as well. It was our first friendly, the sun was out and overall, it went well."
