Benitez target could leave Rome

The agent of France international defender Philippe Mexes has told AS Roma to offer his client a contract soon or run the risk of losing him to one of many suitors.

He said: “Philippe is happy in Rome,”.

“However, I can’t hide the fact that we have received a number of offers from different top clubs in both Italy and abroad.”
