Benitez: He has to be selfishReds boss Rafa Benitez has told Jermaine Pennant to be more selfish if wants to establish himself at Anfield.
Benitez said: “I’ve spoken to Jermaine about it and said to him he must believe in himself more.
“You saw it two or three times against Reading, when he was beating defenders and going forward.
“That’s good but he can do more as he has a lot of ability. And when he has space, his crosses are really good.
“But, for me, he must be a little bit more selfish in the right positions and wide areas. He must play as a winger and high, then he is always a problem for defenders.
“He must play well, get the ball over and maybe score as well.”
