Barry looking for improvementAston Villa captain Gareth Barry thinks the team will continue to improve under manager Martin O'Neill next season.
"It was always going to be a tough one," said Barry.
"There was always going to be expectation with the new manager and the takeover, but things weren't going to happen overnight.
"This season is hopefully a little taster for the fans. Finishing 11th is a big improvement from 16th and we will be looking to make that same improvement and finish in a European place."
He added: "It is ten years since I joined the club and you don't see that too often.
"I have signed a four-year contract and I would like to see that out and hopefully there are a few more years to come after that."
