Barcelona, Chelsea to battle for star

European Champions Barcelona is set to offer Bayern Munich a deal for German international Phillip Lahm, according to reports.

Coach Frank Rijkaard may see the World Cup star as the successor to the left back role held by Gio van Bronckhorst who only has one year left on his current deal.
