Barca star: Henry was ready to moveFrench midfielder Ludovic Giuly has expressed his surprise that compatriot Thierry Henry decided to stay at Arsenal rather than join him and European champions Barcelona.
Speaking to El Mundo Deportivo he said: " Everything was ready for his arrival.
"He had chosen a house in Barcelona, the contract was prepared and he spoke a lot with (director) Txiki and the president (Joan Laporta).
"I don't know what happened, he changed his mind overnight, but you have to understand it, especially after they lost the final.
"Thierry is the king of Arsenal and the fans adore him in London. It's his decision.
"I have not had a chance to speak to him since the final as we thought we would meet in the World Cup squad, but it was not to be. I'll call him one of these days."
