Barca: The squad is setSporting director Txiki Begiristain has confirmed that Barcelona have completed all their transfer dealings for the summer.
Begiristain said: “The squad is closed. After the switch of Gudjohnsen [pictured] for Larsson, we were still open to suggestions. We returned from Italy with Zambrotta and Thuram and have reinforced all the positions that needed reinforcing”.
Txiki went on to praise the talented squad saying: “We’re all well aware of the suffering we went through to win the Champions League. The important thing is to be ready for any eventuality and prepared to cover any absences.
He continued: “If we can maintain last season’s ascendant line it’ll really be something we can be proud of. Maintaining that same level I’m absolutely sure that we’ll win some things this season”
