Ballack promises Makaay a giftBayern Munich star Michael Ballack has promised team-mate Roy Makaay a Euro quarter-final gift.
Top scorer Makaay is ruled out of tonight’s Champions League last-16 clash with Arsenal at Highbury by a thigh injury.
But midfield superstar Ballack said: “It is Roy’s 30th birthday on Wednesday and we have told him his present will be a place in the last eight.
“We are all very confident of going through and you can tell Arsenal we are not coming just to play, but to win.”
