Baggies swoop turned down

BBC Radio Five Live has reported that Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren has prevented Ugo Ehiogu from completing his transfer to West Brom.

The two clubs had agreed terms for the former England defender, but an injury to Gareth Southgate has seen the move collapse.

Ehiogu is now expected to play for Boro against Arsenal on Saturday.
