Baggies ace reveals Rangers linkNewly signed West Bromwich Albion midfielder Nigel Quashie has revealed he turned down the opportunity to sign for Scottish giants Rangers in preference to a move to the Hawthorns.
“A loan move to Rangers wasn’t the right option for me,” Quashie said.
Albion manager Bryan Robson is set to throw Quashie and his other new boy, Uruguayan centre-back Williams Martinez, straight into his side’s Premiership survival fight.
Robson, who snapped up international Martinez, 23, on loan from Defensor, said: “Williams is quick and very good on the ball.
“Nigel has a good football brain and has experience of relegation fights.”
