Another Madrid star sidelinedAtletico Madrid fans will be ruing their luck after news that midfielder Martin Petrov suffered cruciate ligament damage only days after team-mate Maxi Rodriguez suffered the same injury.
The Bulgarian international went down late in the first half while playing for the club against Recreativo and will more than likely miss the rest of the season.
Manager Javier Aguirre said: "The bad luck has been incredible - two key players in the team injured in the space of three days!"
