American keeper wants contract extensionBlackburn’s American keeper Brad Freidel wants to extend his stay at Ewood Park beyond the end of next season.
The keeper’s four-year deal runs out in the summer of 2006 and he is keen to be a long-term part of boss Mark Hughes’ plans.
Friedel said: “I’ve still got a lot of ambitions I want to fulfil.
“That means if the club wants to sit down and talk about a new contract then I’d be happy to do so.
“I think we’re going in the right direction under Mark.
“It took us a while to adjust to the way he wants us to play but you can see from our results how we’re improving.”
