Allardyce to use French influenceBolton manager Sam Allardyce is looking to use his current crop of French stars to lure West Ham target Steed Malbranque to the club this week.
Allardyce said: “I would dearly love to bring Malbranque to the Reebok because he has all the qualities that we are looking for.
“There is a lot of French influence in my squad and maybe that could persuade him to join us ahead of the other teams that are also interested in him.
“It is no secret that he wants away from Fulham and I hope we can do a deal for him.”
