Jewell dismisses reportsFormer Wigan Athletic manager Paul Jewell has moved quickly to distance himself from any reports suggesting that he was looking to take the vacant post at Manchester City.
"I am not going to Manchester City,” said Jewell.
"I gave the chairman (Dave Whelan) my word, I looked him in the eye and I have got an open relationship with him.
"I am having a rest from the game and he has been very understanding about that.
"I would not do that to the chairman. I have got too much respect for him and Wigan Athletic to do that.
"If I was going to go somewhere I would be straight with him, but I am not going anywhere."
