Jewell desperate to surviveWigan manager Paul Jewell is desperate for the club to keep their Premiership status next season.
He said: "If you offered us Premier League survival right now, we'd take it,"
"We knew this season was never going to be any easier than last season - it was always going to be harder.
"But now it's important for this club - like every other team down there - that we stay in this division.
"If you do stay up then the money doubles for next season and you can try and improve again.
"But we have to stay calm. The biggest thing that I've got is the belief that the team will stay up."
