Bremen humiliatedAfter Werder Bremen were thumped 10-2 on aggregate in the Champions League by Lyon, coach Thomas Schaaf admits he was bitterly disappointed at the manner of his side's humiliating display.
The German side were convincingly thumped 7-2 in the second leg of the tie in Stade Gerland on Tuesday night and Schaaf said: "It is a giant disappointment,
"You can lose, but you do not want to put in such a bad performance.
"If you play without any desire or passion, then you cannot gain any success on the pitch.
"We produced a beautiful evening for Lyon.
"They were safe. The will never have it so easy again, and it was because of us."
