Zdrilic, Sasho set to strikeSydney FC coach, Pierre Littbarski, plans to change his game plan ahead of his team's Hyundai A-League clash with the in-form Central Coast Mariners on Saturday night.
The match is a crucial encounter with both teams vying for second spot leading into the business end of the season. With just four rounds remaining, Sydney holds second spot, but the Mariners are hot on their tail, just three points behind in third.
Littbarski tried a 4-3-3 formation in Sydney's Friday night's draw with Newcastle United, but the coach is now looking to reignite the striking partnership of former Socceroo David Zdrilic and Sasho Petrovski.
"I think Zdrilla (Zdrilic) did well when he came on and he may have to go back into the side with Sash (Petrovski)," Littbarski said. "We tried to play with the 4-3-3 but it did not work so maybe we will have the two together in the front."
"He has had a few problems with injuries at the start and then with Dwight up front and then Kazu coming to the club he has not had much time to play. I think he was better (against Newcastle) and maybe it is time to give him more time."
Zdrilic nearly saved the day for FC on Friday, but a freak save from Jets 'keeper Liam Reddy denied the veteran a goal.
The clash between the close neighbours is set to take place in front of a bumper crowd with the Sydney club maintaining its average crowd of more than 15,000 in the inaugural A-League season.
