Jones happy with formSunderland hit-man Kenwyne Jones says he is not surprised by the good form he has shown in the Premiership this season.
He said: "Surprised? No, I haven't been surprised. It's just a case of believing in your own ability and going out there and doing what you know you can do.
"I don't think it is any surprise to me - it might be a surprise to everyone else, but it is not a surprise to me.
"It's always nice scoring goals, and the few I have got so far have helped me to settle up here. It has been going well so far.
"Whatever position you play in, it always depends on goals or clean sheets or good performances, but it has helped me to settle into a new environment and I am happy about that.
"Sometimes you have good days and sometimes you have bad days, but hopefully, I will be on my good days for most of the season."
Manager Roy Keane added: "You are always hopeful the players will come in and just adapt quickly.
"Kenwyne is laidback, he is that type of character. I saw him upstairs on his second day at the club and you just felt like he had been here a long, long time, the way he was chatting to people, the girls in the office, the way a lot of the lads do - the Trinidad lads in particular.
"The danger is we expect too much, too soon from him. He's is a centre-forward, which is probably the hardest position on the field to play.
"We should not be shoving too much responsibility on him, but we have done the way things have panned out, and he seems to have accepted it and taken it like a man."
